With our renowned software, ORTMANN Cross Stitch Designer ©, you can create your own cross-stitch patterns from your photos. Of course, you can also "paint" your own designs from scratch. Upload your favorite photo—for example, of your pet or a beautiful vacation memory—and transform it into a cross-stitch pattern with just a few clicks! The software supports approximately 447 colors from the DMC color standard and additional thread manufacturers: • DMC® Color Palette: ~447 colors • Anchor Coats MEZ® Color Palette: ~444 colors • Madeira Mouline®: ~369 colors • Blomstergarn®: ~130 colors You can easily print the pattern yourself. The template follows the familiar layout of cross-stitch patterns found in books and craft kits. A detailed legend lists all required colors and the amount of thread needed. You can reduce the number of colors as desired. In many cases, 40 to 60 colors are enough to create a stunning photorealistic image. In the ADV and PRO versions of ORTMANN Cross Stitch Designer ©, you can also edit the palette, for example, by limiting it to specific colors you already have in stock. This ensures only the colors you own are used.Printing with Endless Possibilities
The printing function has been specially enhanced for cross-stitch. Countless combinations and settings are available. You can adjust the size of the stitches in the printout, modify symbols, grids, rulers, legends, and more. The required thread lengths are calculated based on your specifications. For more complex templates, you can even automatically generate indexes, company information, and a complete embroidery booklet. For personal use, the ADV version is typically more than sufficient to meet the highest standards. :) The PRO version offers great benefits for commercial users, such as integrating your own logo, banners with social media information, and printing additional informational pages. You can print in any large format supported by your printer or driver, export as a PDF using MS Print to PDF or other tools, and export as JPEG, TIFF, and other pixel formats.A Wizard to Guide You
A step-by-step wizard helps you convert photos quickly and efficiently, saving time. Key adjustments such as the maximum number of colors, stitch width and height, image size (in mm), contrast, and cropping can be made immediately.Manual Editing/Drawing
The ORTMANN Cross Stitch Designer © also includes extensive tools for manual editing or for creating completely original designs. You can replace colors, remove or recolor backgrounds, or add text to the image.Library/Palettes
A built-in library allows you to save and reuse image elements you frequently use, such as hearts or stars, which can serve as borders or patterns in your designs. Multiple color palettes for all common techniques and colors are included. In the ADV and PRO versions, these palettes can also be modified and expanded—or limited to the colors you already own or prefer.
